BASIC VOLUME CONTROLS
Our entry
level distributed sound system provides sound in six rooms with
rudimentary control and proven performance.
The most basic distributed sound system
consists
of a centrally located stereo receiver, the necessary connecting
block and then in each room a volume control and a pair of
in-ceiling or in-wall speakers. This system makes use of your
existing cd player, satellite and other source components
and gives you the ability to adjust the volume in each room
to suit your needs or to turn a room off completely.
The volume control is a rotary knob mounted
on a decora style plate that is installed at switch height.
It looks like a common dimmer control. The speakers we have
bundled in this package are entry-level models from Speakercraft.
Speakercraft is the worlds oldest architectural speaker
company and invented the in-wall speaker. All
Speakercraft speakers are fully UV treated and come with a
lifetime guarantee. You may choose either in-wall or in-ceiling
speakers depending on your needs and of course upgrades in
quality are always available.
As standard practice in all our installations
we
also include Category 5 network cables to all our volume controls
in order to facilitate future upgrades to a keypad based sound
system. All wiring is home run to your basement utility room,
properly dressed and all cables are properly labeled for any
future maintenance.
